Conference housing

View of Manhattan from Kaufman residence hallHousing for SUNYLA 2012 will be in FIT’s George S. and Mariana Kaufman Residence Hall. The Kaufman residence hall is located at 406 West 31st Street, barely a stone’s throw from all the conference activities. It was fully renovated in 2006 and is air conditioned! It also has an exercise facility, and if you didn’t bring your laptop, you can take advantage of the computer lounge.

Most suites will be either doubles or quads (two two-person bedrooms.) All suites are spacious and have a living area, kitchen, and private bathroom. Here are the floor plans.

We are expecting housing to cost $81 per person per night for a shared room, but that is not a firm number – our local arrangements chair, NJ Wolfe, is trying to negotiate a lower price.

Please see more recent post for updated housing information.

Remember to bring your linens! FIT housing does not provide them.

We don’t know yet. NJ Wolfe is busy negotiating hard with campus housing for the best deal possible. I’m going to go down there on November 16 to see what I can do too.
